Outreach

The Samaritans is in a unique position to increase awareness of issues relating to suicide prevention education and access to medical behavioral health resources for special populations, including but not limited to: youths and teens, prison inmates and minority communities.

Hotline

The Samaritans 24 hour confidential hotline / listening line has trained volunteers since 1977 to use non-judgmental, non religious befriending skills to help callers of all ages who are hopeless, alone, suicidal or seeking information to help a family member or friend.

Digital Transformation Initiative

A digital modernization effort to update agency community outreach and education digital resources as well as digital resources used to train and support volunteers by connecting to modalities reflecting how they learn and communicate today.
