Student Poetry Workshops

Since 2003, red hen press has brought poetry education to underserved students in pasadenaand los angeles through our writing in the schools (wits) program. Red hen reachesapproximately 300 students annually by bringing published authors directly into englishclassrooms to teach the craft of writing.

Speaking and Performing

Red hen press conducts at least 30 national and international literary events each year online,in-person, and through hybrid formats for attendees to join digitally or in-person. Nearly allevents are free to the public and provide the opportunity to build community among lovers ofliterature.
