Where the work happens
Child Care Fund
Through California's Child Care Fund, CocoKids provides partial to full child care subsidy to thousands of low-income families in Contra Costa County. Families need this subsidized child care so they can work, find work, or gain new vocational skills. This ensures a better life for children and their families.
Child Health & Nutrition Program
CocoKids administers the Child Health and Nutrition Program, a nationally recognized initiative in the fight against obesity. CocoKids enables providers to serve nutritious meals to children in child care settings by reimbursing them for the cost of healthy meals and snacks. Good nutrition prepares children to learn better.
Learning Institute & Other Programs
The Learning Institute at CocoKids provides parent and provider education through online and in-person classes, workshops, calls, and site visits in order to improve the quality of care and education for young children. We provided 4,388 provider trainings and provided technical assistance to providers 110,663 times.
