Ocracoke alive sponsored the ocracoke festival providing the community with an event that includes musical performances and a variety of artisans and craftsmen who display their work. In addition, there were performanaces by story tellers and other artists.

The deepwater theater provides an area as a homebase for our administrative functions as well as storage for programs. The space is also used for ocracoke student programs as part of our outreach partnership with the school. Thespace is also used during the ocracoke festival.

A latino festival brings people up from the outer banks as well as lots of people from ocracoke area. The festival is used to get the latino population of the island engaged along with the rest of the population of the island. The festival has a mariachi band, food, a costume contest, and traditional dancing.
