Workforce innovation and opportunity act, title I (wioa title I) provides employment and training services for adults, dislocated workers, and at risk youth. Approximately 55 adults were served; 123 dislocated workers and 76 youth were served.

The minnesota family investment program (mfip) is designed to decrease long-term welfare dependency through employment services. Mfip is minnesota's temporary assistance to needy families (tanf) program. Services are provided in: faribault, lesueur, martin, nicollet, sibley, waseca, and watonwan counties.

The council is partnering with adult basic education and south central college to develop "fasttrack" career pathway programs that develop sector- based career pathways for low-skilled adults. Last year 122 low-skilled adults participated in the pathway programs.
