To operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, including a) to undertake educational activities on topics of interest and concern to business improvement districts in the district of columbia, including but not limited to public space improvement and place-making, safety and security, and planning and development; b) to aid, work with, and participate in the activities of other organizations, individuals and public and private entities located in the district of columbia engaged in similar purposes; and c) to solicit, receive, and administer funds for educational and charitable purposes and to that end to take and hold by bequest, devise, gift, grant, purchase, lease or otherwise, either absolutely or jointly with any other person or corporation, any property, real, personal, tangible, or intangible, or an undivided interest therein, without limitation as to amount of value.
