At the start of 2020, hot bread kitchen was on track to reach the goal of training and placing 110 women in good food jobs and supporting 60 small food businesses. We completed our first workforce cohort of the year just days before the COVID-19 pandemic forced new york city into lockdown.

Our small business program focused on technical assistance to help 28 entrepreneurs navigate the complicated and overloaded application system for payroll protection program and economic injury disaster loan. We connected 30 small businesses with access to marketing opportunities to help recover lost sales.
