Brown County's Housing Choice Voucher Program
Provision of low-income rental assistance to an average of 2,967 households per month in 2020. Stable housing allows individuals and families to focus on improving life skills and becoming a contributing member of society.
Ics administered our wheda HCV program in 2020. The programs are contracted through the wisconsin housing and economic development authority. In manitowoc county we administer 181 housing choice vouchers. In brown county we administer 33 housing choice vouchers. In washington county we administer 219 housing choice vouchers.
Brown County's Family Self-Sufficiency Program
Provision of the family self-sufficiency program which over time and with significant commitment from clients can help clients reach a point where they are no longer receiving any public-funded assistance. At the conclusion of 2020, there were 74 participants in the FSS program.
