The joyce ivy foundation (jif) was established to provide exposure, encouragement, counsel, financial assistance and employment support to young midwestern women who have the academic, intellectual, and leadership potential to attend the nation's most selective institutions of higher education. Jif has a program of partnering with leading prestigious universities to provide matching grants and other scholarships for summer programs to the scholars. Jif also sponsors free college access activities that are open to midwesterners.

Scholarships were awarded to 79 young women to attend summer programs at leading institutions of higher education (barnard, brown university, cornell university, emory university, harvard university, johns hopkins university, massachusetts institute of technology, smith, university of chicago, washington university, and yale university).

The foundation held a series of virtual programming for our scholars and other interested parties. We conducted 10 such programs prior to august 2022, on topics ranging from financing your education to forming your college list and advocating for yourself in the college application process.
