Psychological Services

PTV served over 470 clients during the year. PTV provides psychological evaluation, both individual and family therapy, to help relieve depression, anxiety, and PTSD, enhancing functioning of families and social reintegration.

PTV coordinates with pro-bono professionals and community resources to assist and respond to our clients' basic and emergency needs, providing clients with tools and resources necessary to thrive.

Most survivors of torture who are new to the U.S. are not eligible for government or workplace health coverage in their first year of residency. Many require immediate medical care due to injuries caused by human rights abuse or due to untreated chronic conditions.
