Code for Life USA, INC.'s mission is to equip youth and young adults in under-served and high poverty communities, with practical Life skills and technological proficiency they need to thrive in the new digitally-driven economy. By creating a neighborhood-focused technology program that unites educational institutions, industry leaders, the tech community, local churches, and community organizations, the organization seeks to transform the way young people see themselves and their futures. Through its theory and methodology of change, the organization aims to help young people become creators and makers of technology, and to create a pipeline of young coders and an onramp for young people to thrive to the new technology community.
