Providing a diet consistant with the needs of the mentally disabled. Served 175 permanent and temporary residents. No one at ionia is receiving prescreption medications for their condition. They rely soley on diet, group therapy and physical activity.

Farming served 175 full and part time people and provided therapeudic activity for the mentally disabled while providing food for the community. Farming activities included clearing land, tilling soil, planting & harvesting vegatables, and grain.
