Conservation Land Acquisition & Stewardship

The dishman hills conservancy acquires and manages conservation lands. The dishman hills conservancy owns over 1,200 acres, has conservation easements on 25 acres, and co-manages the dishman hills natural resource conservation area with spokane county and washington state (total of 3,200 acres).

Education and Publications

The dishman hills conservancy did not have in-person education programs and relied on virtual and video instruction. The "kids in the hills" was self-guided based on 60 education videos and served kids learning from home.

Outreach Program

Even with covid restrictions, the dishman hills conservancy outreach program conducted 52 events in 2020. These included self-guided activities for community education and recreation. The events include hikes, nature walks, stewardship projects, and virtual presentations.
