Sanctuary

Since 1982, wolf haven international has rescued and provided lifetime sanctuary to over 300 wolves in need. Most of the wolves have been rescued from private ownership, a practice that is illegal in some states, but difficult to enforce. Often the animals that are rescued have been neglected or abused or are facing destruction.

Education

Wolf haven international provides guided walks through a specified area of our wolf sanctuary and offers special educational programming to the public. Wolf haven strives to foster concern for and awareness of the natural world and fill a void in environmental education.

Conservation & Prairie Restoration

Wolf havens continued participation in two species survival plan (SSP) programs allows for the ongoing protection and preservation of two highly endangered mammals the mexican gray wolf and the red wolf. Wolf haven is one of only three pre-release facilities in the U.S. For the endangered mexican gray wolf.
