Where the work happens
Westside Legends WSL in partnership with Greylock Federal Credit Union a first-time homebuyers program that has facilitated families of color on the purchase of their first homes. This program was initiated after Greylock commissioned a redlining study in 2021 to research lending inequities.
WSL has a Super Soap Box Go-Kart Derby. WSL engages both the youth and adultjavascript:void0;s to design build and race the go-karts. We subsidize some of the entities who would like to participate but do not have the means to purchase the elements.
WSL organizes an annual block party for the neighborhood where we partner with other organizations to kick off the summer. The event allows the community to learn what we and our partners have to offer in terms of programs and services for all ages gender and race.
