Usaid afford seeks to safely and sustainably reduce micronutrient inadequacies and improve diets, particularly for women and children, through large-scale food fortification (LSFF). Isf is responsible for designing, mobilizing, and implementing financing solutions for the food industry.

Isf supported the gates foundation in identifying and assessing value chain finance opportunities that can increase access to affordable, fit for purpose credit to smallholder farmers in selected countries.

Isf is part of a 5-YEAR usda funded initiative to promote cashew processing in west africa, in order to generate jobs and reduce the carbon footprint of raw cashews being shipped to asia for processing. Isf is responsible for mobilizing investment, and designed catalytic lending mechanisms to crowd in and de-risk private investments.
