The zone captain program supported survivors of the 2020 almeda wildfire through over 1300 individual interactions for resource referrals. The program was the first in the state to submit an application for long awaited funding allocated by hud and was the first to process a successful award from start to finish.
The ready now program engaged with 1946 residents interested in preparing for wildfire safety. We partnered with 32 other organizations and supported 14 communities in their pursuit of firewise community status, trained 32 people in a modified assessing structural ignition potential course to perform home wildfire risk assessments, and…
