Summary of the Filing
Where the work happens
Science our scientific work is targeted to four key areas, restoration, invasive non-native species, habitat connectivity and protecting biodiversity. In all four areas we are completing leading edge scientific research within the mcdowell sonoran preserve in addition to playing a regional leadership role.
Stewardship our 700 volunteers continued to deliver in-person programs until COVID-19 caused us to pause. This included over 150 free public guided hikes and bike rides, providing trailhead ambassadors and educating youth and families in the mcdowell sonoran preserve.
Education our educational programs target four groups, youth, adults, families and our volunteers. COVID-19 forced us to pivot to online offerings which have been designed to ensure we continue to provide meaningful and impactful experiences.
