We were able to show positive gains on ilearn asessments in spring 2023. We were one of the top 18 schools with the highest proficiency gains for black students and students of color. We grew in our combined ela and math proficiency by 3.3%. From 2021 to 2023 our ela proficiency grew from 7% to 21%.

This year we invested a lot of time and energy into ensuring our transition to implementing the science of reading was on track. We applied to be a part of the literacy cadre and we were accepted. This means that we recieve 1/2 of the salary for our literacy coach and ongoing PD and coaching.

We were selected to recieve the comprehensive school counseling grant. With this we have purchased new equipment and curriculum to support our work with sel. This is also providing a lot of programs and ongoing training for our staff around regulation, skill building, and sel.
