The Prison Reform

The prison reform program worked to ensure all women in missouri's jails and prisons have access to quality free menstrual products. Missouri appleseed used its own primary research to show a relationship between women who are forced to make homemade products and women who develop infections.

The public health program has helped in educating lawyers, judges, and the general public about how current scientific research relates to how juveniles are treated in both missouri family and criminal courts.

The criminal justice program has researched and educated the public and policy makers about the value of keeping justice-involved parents in the community as opposed to incarceration. Missouri appleseed authored two documents on the research related to keeping families together.
