About the Center for Humane TechnologyThe Center for Humane Technology (CHT) is a San Francisco-based 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to drive a shift toward humane technology that supports our shared well-being, our democracy, and our ability to tackle complex global challenges. Founded in 2018, CHT is grounded in principles explored in a viral presentation at Google in 2013 by then-Google design ethicist Tristan Harris. Tristans call to action A Call to Minimize Distraction & Respect Users Attention would soon move into public discourse via two TED talks and a 60 Minutes interview. With support and leadership from Tristan and CHT, the exploding crisis in tech and potential paths forward are now at the forefront of public consciousness.What We DoCHT raises awareness and drives systemic change through high-profile presentations to global leaders, briefing sessions and public testimony to policymakers and heads of state, and mass media campaigns reaching millions (recent coverage in Ti
