Community Engagement

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with church partners, service providers, cultural centers, and other community advocates. Receive and distribute donated goods to refugees. The organization utilizes 10 churches (plus 3 in development), 9 community agencies, and has 20 donors of goods.

Volunteer Training and Education

Provide education for current and potential volunteers about refugees, their cultures and religions, including an excursion to a local mosque and holiday gatherings with refugees. The organization had 144 participants.

Gatherings

Organize an annual summer picnic, ramadan dinners, and christmas meals for refugees and community members, including provision of food and supplies. The organization served 195 refugee guests, with 120 volunteers & guests.
