Parks & Schools

Community Greening partners with cities and school districts to increase the tree canopy primarily in low-income neighborhoods. The organization hosts volunteer planting events that introduce residents to the park system, increase shade on school campuses, and educate people about the health benefits of being outside.

Community Greening plants free fruit and native shade trees at private homes in neighborhoods with low tree canopy coverage. Arborists on staff do a species and site selection with the homeowner, call before you dig, and tree installation.
