Where the work happens
Equine Interaction
Throughout 2025 WRF supported 178 individual veterans and first responders suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome through 46 day-long Retreats (6 hours), and 37 Mini-Retreats (3 hours). Program events include riding and roping interaction. Total program hours exceeded 1750.
Horse Rescue
WRF did not adopt out any horses and did not rescue any additional horses in 2025. WRF currently cares for 3 horses. Training continues on the three horses to rehabilitate, retrain and re-purpose each horse in preparation for adoption to a new home. As part of the re-training, the horses are used in the Equine Interaction program.
