Virginia Initiative for Growth and Opportunity

RHR serves as the support organization for go va region 5. The time committed to fulfill that role includes processing and managing grants and providing staff support to the regional council.

Bio-Science/Health

Virginia bio prepared a go va competitive application to create a statewide network of bio hubs (patterned after the successful one in charlottesville). One of the four new hubs is planned for hampton roads.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (ceds)

In november 2019, RHR contracted with old dominion university research foundation to update the comprehensive economic development strategy for hampton roads. The scope of work included synthesizing existing reports and documents, including the go virginia region 5 economic growth and diversification plan.
