TDEA Annual Convention is the biggest event of the year. It is held in early January and is open to the entire association membership. The convention promotes interaction among the Drill Team Directors, Promotes Education in the Dance and Drill Team Members, and rewards minimal college scholarships.

This program provides an assessment learning phase whereby Drill Team Directors are evaluated as they provide quality instruction to students in the field of Dance/Drill Team instructions to ensure that students are provided the best training in their field.
