Annual meeting-the atfa annual meeting is a two day event to provide education to forest landowners to help them better manage their land. The meeting consists of educational programs such as alternative crops for their forest land, best management practices, wildlife issues, deer management, etc.

Education-the atfa makes contributions to organizations conducting educational events for landowners to help them better manage their land. Some of the topics included in these types of events are road building and repair, best management practices and wild hog control.

FSC group certification-the atfa holds a group certificate for the forest stewardship certification program. Members who agree to abide by the additional requirements of FSC certification are eligible, in certain situations to receive more money for their timber.
