A state convention is held annually to provide training for student journalists and journalism teachers and to recognize student and teacher accomplishments. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2025 more than 1,500 individuals attended.

The organization provided critique service for members and provided guidelines on how to improve their publications. During the fiscal year ended 06/30/2025, 118 yearbooks and 18 literary magazines, as well as other student publications and online broadcasts were critiqued.

District directors conducted workshops to provide journalism instruction for students and advisors. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2025 workhops were held in 5 school districts. Approximately 1,670 individuals attended the workshops.
