Where the work happens
The purpose of the summer nutrition program is to educate a targeted population of the benefits of a diet with special emphasis on chronic disease and provide opportunities for meals that are healthy and sustaining in addition this program helps to combat hunger and school aged children during summer break.
The freedom school program incorporates an intense programming during the summer to engage youth in reading and encourage them to read more as well as discussing the benefits of skilled readers the target population are youth from low income families that may not have access to books libraries and schools or summer camp.
Crime survivors for safety and justice also known as CSSJ is a national net of over 100,000 crime survivors it gives survivors of crime a voice in a public policy and bring survivors to the center of the conversation around criminal justice reform and public safety policy.
