Human Services Network, INC., d/b/a meals on wheels south florida, (the, "organization") is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization and was incorporated on september 17, 1984, under the laws of the state of florida. In the beginning, the organization was primarily founded for the purpose of contracting for older americans act (oaa) senior nutrition program funding through the florida department of elder affairs, the areawide council on aging and the area agency on aging (AAA). This funding allows the organization to provide nutritious meals at no cost to adults age sixty and better throughout broward county, florida, through the use of federal oaa title III c-1 (congregate meal) and c-2 (home-delivered meal) funding. As additional needs/opportunities were identified, the organization expanded programs and Services to better serve the community. The oaa funding that once comprised 100% of the organization's annual budget is now less than 68% of the annual operating budget. Othe
