Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (wioa) Program

Wioa programsprovide youth adults and dislocated workers with the information,advice and job search assistance and training they need to get and keepgood jobs and provide employers with skilled workers. The adult programprovides training and support to economically disadvantaged personsaged 22 and older.

This program funded by the department ofhealth and human services grant, temporary assistance for needyfamilies, is designed to emphasize work, self-sufficiency, and personalresponsility for welfare recipients and to enable them to move fromwelfare to work.
