Summary of the Filing
Where the work happens
Annual Meeting
Scientific conference for presentation, education, and dissemination of information related to shock, trauma, burns, and sepsis. Abstracts of research work are submitted by members and non-members. The awards committee reviews abstracts to determine those that are accepted for oral and poster presentation.
Awards and Grants
The sock society provides a large number of travel awards to offset costs for trainees and students to travel to and attend the annual meeting. These awards are based on quality of abstract submissions as determined by the awards committee. We also have seperate awards for under-presented minority applicants to attend the meeting.
Journal
The shock journal is run by DR. Daniel remick, the editor-in-chief, and is one of the premier scientific journals for publication of shock, trauma, burns, sepsis, and resuscitation research.
