In total, approximately 350 students actively participant in D.W. Daniel high school and R.C. Edwards middle school bands. The high school marching band is a competitive organization and the daniel-edwards band boosters financially support participation in shows and competitions against other schools across south carolina.

The daniel-edwards band boosters support band programs encompassing approximately 250 students at the middle school level and 110 students in high school concert band, jazz band, marching band, color guard and winter guard. The cost of maintaining a high quality band program is significant.
