Where the work happens
Food Pantry Dash Meal Kits Program
The most economically poor are also the most nutritionally poor. Traditional food banks distribute foods without regard to nutritional standards, our mission is to do better. Our volunteer staff purchases and distributes wholesome foods that include our signature dash complete meal kits.
Weekend Power Pack Program
This program helps children of food-insecure households and is in cooperation with the schools, children at risk of hunger are identified and provided with weekly "power packs" (backpacks) filled with food. Distributed on fridays, each backpack contains enough food to provide for the child and their family during the weekend.
Locally Sourced Food Programs
Introduces food pantry users to the benefit of eating locally raised and home grown foods, clients are given tokens to redeem at the old town warrenton and two local farmers markets. In 2022 the program served 5,067 individuals across 1,491 households.
