Where the work happens
Youth Afterschool Programs
Utilizing a nationally recognized youth development model, alternatives increases the social and emotional competencies, leadership abilities, provides academic supports, and cultural opportunities for middle school students during out of school time.
Community Capacity Building Programs
Utilizing a capacity building model which includes leadership development, service learning, and youth civic engagement strategies, alternatives increases the leadership and civic skills of both youth and adults. We provide supports to families to strengthen their skills, to increase family engagement and access to community resources.
Youth Development Programs
Utilizing research-based curricula and trauma informed practices, alternatives builds the social and emotional development of elementary, middle, and high school aged youth by increasing their awareness, knowledge, and ability to prevent risk taking behaviors, make healthy choices, increase academic success, and increase their resiliency.
