Kla annual conference registration is underway for 2025 with an expected attendance of 500 members. Once again, this is the only statewide library conference in kansas that is vital to bringing together all levels of library staff from all types of libraries for high-quality professional development with 100+ different programs offered…

Kla has been focusing on advocacy in the library field. Kla has worked with both kansas and U.S legislators to advocate for staffing and support services for libraries. Kla also advocates for librarians facing legal disputes in their areas of expertise as well as intellectual freedom for library users across kansas.

Published the kla newsletter five times to keep members informed of kla activities. This includes updates from kla, its members, and libraries across kansas. The newsletter also touches on opportunities and issues facing the kla constituency.
