Madera elementary's school garden began in 2007 with a lot ofbackbreaking labor and a shared vision of how a garden could impactstudent understanding of natural cycles, agriculture, and NUTRITION.SINCE then it has grown thanks to the support of the students, staff,and families.

Music for minors provided music education to students of all ages at madera. Music for minors is a wonderful organization whose mission is to provide bay area students of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds a comprehensive music education. The music program included vocal exercises, recorders, and musical theory.

Sixth grade students, along with parent and teacher chaperones,participate in a week long outdoor science camp at alliance redwoodsconference grounds located in beautiful occidental, ca. Students getto apply subjects they learned in class with hands-on experience andalso have some fun with their class with activities such as ziplining.
