In 2020, amazon frontlines accompanied our indigenous waorani and kofan partners to bring their historic legal cases, won in 2019 and 2018 respectively, before the constitutional court of ecuador to establish legal precedent for the indigenous right to free, prior and informed consent (fpic) in ecuador.

Culture

In 2020, amazon frontlines continued to lead activities to build capacity for women leaders through trainings, workshops and leadership opportunities. We continued to support four community-led microenterprises: chocolate production with the waorani nation, brown sugar production with the siona nation, traditional handicraft and clothing…
