Education

The education component consists of a six week summer field school for adults, local lectures and workshops and a hands-on field experience for high school students which provides to them an opportunity to serve as paid interns to learn practical, marketable skills in watershed, ecosystem, and foodshed restorations.

Native Plant Material

Borderlands restoration network has a greenhouse operation and seed lab for cultivation of native plants and collected seeds for research, planting under contract, and wholesale distribution to other nurseries.

Watershed and habitat restoration-the madrean archipelago, or sky islands, is one of the most ecologically diverse and rich landscapes in north america. Due to historic overgrazing, drought, and climate change, these lands face stress and degradation.
