Play and Play Spaces

One of tiny wpa's primary program services is the creation of play spaces and the use of play to bring people toghether in new ways.

Tiny wpa believes in the power of people to be change makers in their neighborhoods and community. Philadelphia has over 40,000 vacant lots, 20,000 under loaved bus stops, as well as crumbling parks, playgrounds, and schools.

The building hero project is tiny wpa's intergenerational community-design leadership initiative that uniquely equips, connects and supports individuals, ages 14 years old and up from diverse social and economic backgrounds to be designers, buildings, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, and catalysts in their communities.
