Black Boy Symphony Live
Introduced virtually in 2020 Black Boy Symphony took to the stage before a live audience of 170 attendees. COVID-19 mental health isolation HIV AIDS and social injustices were revealed through storytelling from a black male perspective guised as spoken word dance and sound.
P.l.u.s. United Retreat
This weekend retreat in the Texas hill country focused on the well-being of black men living with HIV. Nine individuals were immersed in group dialogue games and rest. A licensed professional counselor was always on hand should additional support be required. Meals lodging and recreation were provided at no charge to attendees.
And Through Their Eyes Grow Thorns Art Exhibition
This 10-day art exhibition spotlighted local and national queer artists. Forty-nine guests attended the opening reception while 78 visitors witnessed the exhibit through its showing. Eight of the artists works were sold.
