Promoting Open Hardware

The open compute project foundation continued its commitment to redesigning hardware technology to efficiently support the growing demands on compute infrastructure. Throughout the year, we collaborated with industry-leading companies to establish standards for more open, scalable, and efficient data center hardware.

Open Source Contributions

Our community consistently worked on and contributed to a variety of open source projects. These projects were aimed at creating hardware designs that are open, customizable, and beneficial for a broader audience. These contributions were made accessible to the public, further advancing the cause of open computing.

The foundation hosted multiple events, both virtual and inperson, to bring together thousands of engineers and developers from around the world. These events served as platforms for knowledge exchange, collaborative brainstorming, and joint problem solving.
