Where the work happens
Every Thursday We Offered Instagram Live
Open Mic sessions. Led by Adriana Rimple aka Lady Midnight, we interviewed 55 local artists of different mediums. Artists were paid for their time and talked about how they got started and some went through the Kulture Klub programming.
Tish Jones led writing workshops entitled Poetic Justice with our youth. During these workshops they learned the art of storytelling and spoken work with an emphasis on social justice and awareness. These workshops were offered on Wednesday from Sept-Dec and 29 youth participated
Every Tuesday we held our Sketchbook Sessions led by Joy Spika and youth were given sketchbooks. These sessions focused on different drawing techniques like shading, drawing hands, creating characters, creating variables to make a design, still life drawing, fashion illustration, murals, and taking them through the process of art making.
