The federal head start program is funded by the us department of health and human services. This program served 134 children and their families during the fiscal year 2022 and incorporated a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to child development and family services for children ages 3 to 5 years of age.

The early head start program is a federally funded, community-based program for low-income families with infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Its mission is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, to enhance the development of very young children, and to promote healthy family functioning.

The early childhood education program is a state funded grant awarded to preschool programs who are required to provide comprehensive services that support a child's growth and learning using developmentally appropriate practices. This program served 38 four-year-old children and their families.
