Where the work happens
Nutritious Meals
During 2024/25 HIP served 186,417 meals to Seniors, Children, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Over 34,000 meals were served to seniors, 50% delivered directly to participants homes.
Education
During 2024/25, HIP ran 18 cooking & nutrition education classes for school children, families & senior adults. HIP also ran many cooking & nutrition activities as part of its Summer Meals Program, and provided cooking demonstrations at the Lake City Farmers Market.
Advocacy
HIP actively engages with local, state, and national coalitions for food justice to advocate for policy-level changes to address hunger. All of HIPs programs are delivered in partnership with local schools, community organizations, food banks food distributors, and local businesses.
