The DSF fellowship program engages developers to manage some the administrative and community management tasks of the django project. This facilitates community development, allowing the continued and sustained development of django by a community of volunteers.

The DSF sponsors many local events throughout the year, specifically django and python events. These sorts of events are about educating people in coding. Most of them work in supporting underrepresented or financially struggling groups.

The DSF supports the django girls organization as a whole. Many of the local events that we sponsor are django girls events, but the DSF also sponsors the django girls organization as a whole.
