Where the work happens
School Support
Through our school support program, in 2024 schools for salone and its partner organizations constructed two primary schools (including a well and latrines) in underserved communities in sierra leone (pentagon and musaia). We also repaired a latrine and equipped one of the new schools with a solar-power system.
Girls Program
Schools for salone supports girls' education by working with uman tok, a sierra leonean non-profit organization that provides sexual reproductive health education to students and reusable menstrual pads to girls to ensure they do not miss school due to their period.
Teacher supportin 2024, schools for salone's partner organization, the learning foundation, conducted literacy training workshops for 51 teachers and lead remedial reading clubs for 685 students and 19 TEACHERS.ADDITIONALLY, SFS partnered with the sierra leone book trust to implement the inspiring readers programme which brings library…
