Instructional

Founded in 1883, shady side academy's primary program service is the education of students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in a coed school environment, with an optional boarding experience in high school.

Auxiliary Services

-residential life program: the academy operates a five and seven day boarding program. In the 2022/2023 academic year, there were approximately 67 senior school student boarders. The students are housed in academy dormitories located on the senior school campus.

Summer Programs

Ssa summer extends the relational learning and robust opportunities that are unique to shady side academy during the school year, long into the summer months. After the school year ends, summer camp is offered for students who are entering pre-k through 12TH grade the following school year.
