Preserve and restore land to pre-settlement condition in the barrington, illinois area. The organization manages 732 acres of its own land and helps manage preserves owned by governmental units in the area involving over 10,385 volunteer hours by more than 296 volunteers for the benefit of 36,000 barrington area residents.

Educate barrington area residents about the natural world through publication of four newsletters and programs for approximately 1,300 youth and 400 adults, preserve tours for approximately 725 adults and children, and an annual meeting attended by over 175 members, volunteers, and community members.
