Brodheads Forest and Stream Association ("bfsa") was organized as a pennsylvnia non-stock corporation on march 8,1930 for the pleasure and recreational purposes of its members, as well as to own and maintain private land and the improvements thereon, for the protections and preservation of Forest, and the propagation,protection and preservation thereon of game and fish, and for the hunting and catching of the same. Bfsa currently has 38 members and is led by volunteer officers. Bfsa members are all amateur fishermen and fisherwomen, who share a common interest in the relaxation,challenge, and personal enjoyment derived from trout fishing, and the promotion and preservation of a viable Stream fishing habitat.

501(c)(7) social or recreational club; gifts are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

The organization protects approximately three miles of the brodhead and paradise creeks and is dedicated to the consertvation of its woodlands and integrity of its streams. In addtion grants funded by state and federal agencies have funded trout improvement and forest management.
